Mission: Budgetpedia’s mission is to contribute to this vision by making the Toronto budget more accessible to the people of Toronto. This includes the information contained in the budget, including deeply granular data, as well as the process of collaboration and decision making

Vision: Our shared vision starts with that of a modern government for the City of Toronto, including full integration of digital platforms, open government, open data, and collaborative management.

Values: Our values are aligned with those of Civic Tech Toronto; these include among others, the importance of inclusiveness, collaboration and respect in achieving lasting change. Jim Rootham is a computer scientist and has taken on the challenge of reviewing the current codebase to prepare for the next development phase, and is co-lead of our software team.
